Leeks

This is a very hearty leek, with a long, dense stem. Able to be harvested early as a baby or mini leek, Jolant is full grown by august and will withstand winter weather very well, making it an excellent keeper. This award winning leek variety is mild, and lovely in soups, stews, or cooked on its own! I tend to grow extras and then wash and chop them up to keep in ziplocks in the freezer all winter long. I just grab a handful and throw them into all of my soups, stews and stirfries for that fresh taste even when the grocery store prices are through the roof!
