Aunt Ginny’s Purple

With its deep pink colour, and sweet, juicy flavor, Aunt Ginny’s Purple is comparable to a Brandywine. Great for sandwiches, this heirloom tomato grows to be about 1lb, with a smooth skin that rarely cracks. AGP has an earlier production than that of a Brandywine, which means this is definitely a lunch item you want in your garden!

Black Krim

This beautiful heirloom tomato is said to be one of the oldest around, and originates from the Isle of Krim, an Island near the Black Sea. Krims boast a sweet, and earthy flavor, and grow to be a medium size. The hotter the weather, the darker the skin seems to be on this fruit, ranging from a deep red, to purple, or almost a black. These rich colours not only appear on the skin, but also in the meaty centre of the tomato, making it delicious to eat, and quite mesmerizing to look at! These will add a unique splash of colour to your veggie garden this year!

We love slicing them up with some salt and pepper for the best lunch you’ve ever tasted. (But beware; you may have your neighbours lined up at your doorstep for a taste if you aren’t careful!) Genuwine

This unique tomato is what is known as an heirloom marriage between a Brandywine and a Costoluto Genovese. This means that they have taken the best traits of each variety, while still maintaining the taste and heartiness of a traditional heirloom plant. From its Brandywine roots come its beautiful rich colour, size and shape, while inheriting its tangy, juicy taste, and ability to produce large yields from the Costoluto Genovese. This plant will give you almost perfectly unblemished fruit nearly two weeks earlier than most other tomatoes!
